ROCKRISE is a 1–4 player web rhythm game where Dead Frequency, a disaster-prone band, battles busted gigs, supernatural weirdness, and each other while climbing from backyard shows to a cursed festival main stage. Inspiration: We were inspired by the feeling of playing Guitar Hero and Rock Band in the 2000s, when rhythm games made it feel like anyone could be in a band for a few minutes. We wanted to capture that nostalgic couch-party energy, but bring it into a modern web-based multiplayer game with original character…
